WAVES H-EQ Plug-In is a unique EQ that gives you British- and American-flavored equalization, in vintage or modern denominations. EQ can make or break your recordings, and H-EQ gives you powerful and flexible equalization for your DAW. A real-time frequency analyzer lets you see what’s going on, while a keyboard graphic lets you choose frequencies to work with by clicking on notes. There are seven filter types that may be applied per band to dial in the exact sound you hear in your head. You need the tone-shaping mojo you get from Waves H-EQ.

All EQs have different characters, but no other plugin lets you choose one of 7 different console characters for each of 7 bands of EQ. From US and UK vintage, to US and UK modern, to two flavors of digital EQ, this amazing versatility always lets you choose what’s right for your music.

Process left and right channels independently or link them, do mid-side processing, and add variable analog color and THD to the vintage EQs. This is the EQ that does it all—superbly.

The Hybrid Vintage/Modern Equalizer

Choose Your Vintage Console Flavor—Per Band

5 parametric bands (2 switchable to shelving) can each choose from 7 curve characteristics, based on acclaimed UK and US consoles: 3 vintage, 2 modern, and 2 digital. Two more bands handle high and low pass filtering.

Analog Authenticity

5 vintage analog console profiles include a variable amount of hiss and hum, as well as THD. Increase the THD to add some of the characteristic sparkle of analog consoles, which also subtly widens the soundstage.

The Key to Musical EQ Control

Is the guitar’s open A string ringing out too much? Is there a dead spot at F# on your bass neck? Choose a band, click the appropriate note on the virtual keyboard, and the EQ frequency automatically matches that note.

Multi-Function Real-time Spectrum Analyzer with Freeze

The full-featured spectrum analyzer shows the EQ graph and scale, input and output levels, and measures left and right (or mid and sides) levels as a pair or independently. You can freeze the display, and hold peaks.

Effective Extras

Edit directly on the graphical display. Adjust right and left (or mid and side) output levels separately—and flip phase on one or both. Insert a Lite version to draw less CPU. Solo bands to isolate a particular band’s effect.
