Creative Harmony and Delay Effects, Spice up your tracks with the Eventide Quadravox harmony and delay effects plug-in!
Most plug-ins that combine two seemingly unrelated processes achieve a kind of El Camino effect, where they’re neither good at the one thing nor the other. Eventide’s Quadravox defies this notion by combining harmony and delay in a way that lets you add rhythm and character to your tracks. Derived from Eventide’s Octovox, Quadravox delivers four independent voices, each with individual level, pan, delay, and pitch settings, making it easy to sculpt or enhance anything from vocals to percussion. Powerful global settings also let you keep Quadravox in the key and tempo of your music, and you can instantly jump between 32 snapshots, so it’s easy to experiment until you craft the perfect settings.

Independent voices provide total freedom
As the name Quadravox suggests, there are four voices you can use to enhance your material. You can bypass each voice independently, and they all include individual options. While you can dial each voice in manually, the Notation Grid offers a more organic and natural way to set pitch and time, allowing you to drag and move each voice in the graphic to automatically quantize their settings to a musical pitch delay time. In addition to straightforward level, pan, and pitch settings, each voice also has its own delay time and feedback settings, and each repeat runs back through the pitch shift, making it easy to create staircase pitch effects.
Powerful global controls add coherency
While Quadravox’s individual controls are amazing, the plug-in gets more impressive yet when you start playing with its global controls. Setting a low note will make Quadravox only affect higher pitches (great for cutting out rumble), and there are instrument presets that automatically set the low note for you. Likewise, you can set the key and scale to conform the harmonies to the rest of your song. There are global settings for loop delay and feedback, which cause the entire effect to echo, and you can adjust the overall wet/dry mix as well.
The perfect way to spice up your drums
When Eventide brought Quadravox to ProducerSources for a first look, all of the producers here immediately saw its massive creative potential. We took it into the studio, and while its unique approach to harmony sounds great on vocals, synths, and other instruments, it really shines on drum tracks once you turn off pitch tracking. Even the tamest setting can instantly turn even the most mundane beats into captivating polyrhythms, and adding a bit of feedback to your pitched delays lets you create synth-like sounds that go way past drums.
