Get Medieval on Your Compositions
With the Hollywood Fantasy Brass library from EastWest Sounds, you can create your heroic motifs for chivalrous knights, roaring battle calls for approaching cavalry, a soft pastoral theme for an emerald-green countryside, and much more. Instead of contemporary trumpets or French horns, the Hollywood Fantasy Brass library gives you instruments that set the medieval mood, such as Wagner tubas, Alpenhorns, flugelhorns, cimbassos, and more.
And, since Hollywood Fantasy Brass was recorded on the same stage with the same mic placements as the EastWest Hollywood Orchestra, it will blend perfectly with your modern-day EastWest orchestral libraries.
Every instrument in Hollywood Fantasy Brass has been programmed with a Classic, Soft, and Epic mood (ranging from authentic to cinematic), so you can easily find the sound you’re looking for. Plus, four microphone mixes — Close, Mid, Main, and Surround — with pan and level controls let you dial in your perfect sonic landscape. A wide variety of articulations round out this fantastic brass library.
Wagner tubas
Heard in film franchises such as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and video games such as World of Warcraft and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the Wagner tuba was created for Richard Wagner’s epic music drama cycle, Der Ring des Nibelungen.
As you might expect, it’s got an otherworldly quality that’s immediately evocative of fantasy landscapes.
Flugelhorns
A truly regal-sounding instrument, the flugelhorn ensemble in Hollywood Fantasy Brass may be just what you need to herald the entrance of your beloved king or queen.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the original Final Fantasy VII soundtracks used flugelhorns to great effect.
Low brass ensemble
Filling out the low end in Hollywood Fantasy Brass is this thunderous low brass ensemble consisting of three brass trombones, two cimbasso, and one tuba.
It’s perfect for underscoring as the battle reaches its zenith.
