The original Pultec EQs have a well-earned reputation for sonic purity. Acclaimed producer/engineer Jack Joseph Puig has two of the finest examples of these rare, hand-built EQs in his studio. We modeled the units under his guidance for fidelity to the analog originals.

Mix Fat, Punchy Lows with the EQP-1A

Lows without mud, highs without harshness: Mix fat, punchy bass, drums, and synths with the EQP-1A’s three high-cut frequencies, along with separate boost and attenuation controls for 4 low frequencies and 7 high frequencies (with bandwidth parameter).

Enhance the Low End with the Pultec Trick

The Pultec EQP-1A is renowned for its unique ability to boost and cut the same frequencies simultaneously, creating a unique resonant shelf. Thousands of classic recordings have used this feature to great effect, to enhance the low end.
