COSMOS uses an AI neural networks engine to analyze all the samples on your hard drive, and then categorizes and auto-tags the instrument, timbre, style, key, BPM, and sonic characteristics (loop or one-shot, dry or wet, and much more) in its database.

Need to find a saturated kick? Just type “saturated” and “kick” in COSMOS, and all your saturated kicks will show up, no matter what the files are actually named. Need to find a bright reverby drum loop in 120 BPM? Or a saturated synth sample in F#-minor with a cinematic feel? Easy Drag-and-Drop Modulation

Drag-and-drop LFO and ADSR modulators onto nearly any CR8 control. Trigger, retrigger, loop, or free-run 25 LFO waveforms or 25 stepped sequences—or draw and save your own. Smooth the modulation. Use warp to accelerate or decelerate time within the LFO, yet maintain duration. Further modulate your samples with 4 ADSR envelopes that can change their attack, decay, and release curves.

Mix and Control Your Stacked Samples Easily

The mixer page shows all your stacked samples, each with independent control over Tune, Width, Pan and Volume levels, for easy editing, control grouping, and linking.

Extra Sonic Control—Instantly

Loading a sample is just the start. Duplicate voices with unison mode, preserve transients, sync to host, lock sync to triggers, tune over a 4-octave range, reverse playback, freeze, and set loop length, speed, and direction. You can also assign your keyboard’s aftertouch, velocity, mod-wheel and pitch-wheel to most of CR8’s controls, making your samples playable in a responsive musical way.
