Welcoming the original
'Tron to the family
The GForce MkII celebrates the extremely rare and highly coveted original dual manual ‘trons, the Mellotron® MkI/MkII and Chamberlin® Musicmaster.
Whilst M-Tron Pro IV continues to focus on the chromatic sounds of the Mellotron M400 and is probably the first ‘tron you’ll want, its GForce MkII sibling is a unique and exclusive library with specialist tools for tackling the rhythms, accompaniments, and unique playing styles found in earlier Mellotrons MkI/MkII and Chamberlins.
Originally conceived as the ultimate Home Entertainment Console, the UK-made 1963 Mellotron MkI/MkII was a dual-manual tape-based instrument. The left manual’s 35 notes replayed a combination of 18 Rhythms and Accompaniments (66 on the GForce M-Tron MkII*), and the right manual (also 35 notes) replayed 18 lead sounds (66 on M-Tron MkII*).
GForce MkII was designed for composers and producers who want access to the evocative tones of the original dual manual Chamberlin®, Mellotron® MkI, and MkII instruments. Special emphasis was placed on the Rhythms and Accompaniments, which capture a moment in time between the 1950s and late 1960s.

MkII Advance Edit Mode
Define the instrument as your own Hidden away under the hood of the GForce MkII are a raft of controls that will help you define the instrument as your own. Each of the parameters available here are saveable as part of your MkII patch.
Bend and Mod
Apply pitch bend (+3 or -3 semitones) and modulation to your sound. When the Brake button is illuminated the MOD wheel acts as a tape slowdown and simulates a trick where Chamberlin and Mellotron users would cut a hole in the instrument just above the flywheel and press the flywheel to slow the tapes down.
Tape Control
All Tapes can be reversed, played with an authentic two-second rewind time, pitched and panned. Additionally, Lead tapes can be played at half-speed.
Bring harmony to the GForce MkII
Using the Chord button on GForce MkII will assist you in playing matched Rhythms and Accompaniments.
Overall Balance
Get the perfect Balance of level for your left versus your right manual.
It’s all A Question Of Balance
For each manual, the Rhythm’s level versus the Accompaniment’s one can be balanced against each other. A high-pass or low-pass filter can also be applied to each manual.
Rhythm/Accompaniment Host sync
Rhythm/Accompaniments can be host synced enabling easy integration with your DAW.
